WILLIAM PINCKNEY (of the Old Bank, Governor, 1901-1908).

Mr. Pinckney was a man who would always naturally, and without hesitation, do his best with regard to any institution for which he had a responsibility, and especially if it were in a tight place. Straightforward, prompt help given with few words, good judgment, and a kind heart, was what he gave to the Godolphin School.
